Here are your Green candidates standing in Heathfield for the local elections in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on Thursday 7th May 2026:
Alastair says:
As a Heathfield resident living in a 3-generational, mixed-race household, I feel under-represented at the local council where our residents require a strong local advocate to ensure our views and needs are not marginalised. We need representation, but we also need a council structured to promote transparency and accountability. It is simply not humanly possible to do this if 90% of the council representatives are from a single party. This is not what a democracy looks like. I will ensure that our ethnically-diverse ward’s needs are not marginalised and I will hold our council transparently accountable for their actions.
Rae says:
I’ve lived in Richmond for the last twenty years and I love it. In 2016, out of growing concerns about our climate and environment, I joined the Green Party. Ten years on, my concerns remain, and are shared by many. The Green Party remains committed to a fairer and greener society, to change for the better. If elected, I and my fellow Green councillors will work in partnership to achieve the aims set out in our local manifesto.
