We face a cost of living crisis made worse by increasing inequality and lack of action on the climate and nature emergencies at local, national and global levels. Website: rtgp.org.ukImprove local housing for everyone Build new stock for social rent with direct investment Streamline planning to help unlock and retrofit vacant properties Support zero‑carbon construction for all new domestic renovations and extensions Create a borough-wide service for every home to finance more insulation and renewable energyLead the way on river and natural habitat health Restore our river, wetlands, parks, biodiversity corridors and other spaces for nature Reduce air and noise pollution everywhere, especially by opposing Heathrow expansion Support the public ownership of water companies and stop the planned sewage pump Ban the Council’s continued use of bee-killing pesticidesEvaluate the Council’s use of resources including its staff-sharing agreement with Wandsworth Enable everyone – not just a privileged few – to benefit from a sustainable digital economy Put participation at the heart of all decision-making Set up citizens’ assemblies to influence policy at every level Turn empty or underused buildings into community assets for creative connectionEncourage smaller, cleaner modes of transport and end the dominance of larger vehicles Increase protected bike lanes, safer junctions, crossings and child-friendly neighbourhoods Redesign public space for people, not more traffic Fix our roads and pavements to improve access for everyone Add better lighting, public toilets and facilities for disabled people and families
